MSG Nick Sheperty

"To support, to honor, to remember"

The MSG Nick Sheperty Foundation was created after MSG Sheperty died April 17, 2019, during a military freefall training event.

The Foundation’s mission is to honor those who have died during or as a result of military freefall operations; and to support active duty members, veterans and their families.

Supporting student veterans

The MSG Nick Sheperty Foundation will make an annual distribution in the form of a gift to a University of Maryland student in good standing. This stipend will be given to a veteran or a service member of the Armed Forces, or an immediate family member of either group, enrolled at the University of Maryland. The University will provide a list of students who meet the stated criteria and the Foundation will select the recipient from the group.

Honoring and remembering those who died during, or as a result of, military FreeFall training.

After Nick's death, the Foundation was formed in hopes of recognizing those special operators who died during, or as a result of, military freefall parachute operations; and those members who have died supporting these operations. The Foundation has been conducting research to find the names of these fallen service members.

We have also been actively seeking a partnership in the development and placement of the memorial. We are currently working on potential designs to submit to our prospective partners.

If you would like to submit the name of your loved one, teammate or friend please contact us.

The foundation proposes to support or coordinate an annual memorial run, and monetary gifts from private individuals or from organizations. The projected memorial location will be based on the partnerships developed.
