2024 MEMORIAL RUN/WALK

We invite you to join us in our tribute to Master Sergeant Nick "Shep" Sheperty on April 14-20, 2024. 

Registration ends April 14, 2020 at 11:59pm EDT. 

This event marks five years since his passing on April 17, 2019, in a military training incident resulting in his death while conducting military freefall. Participate in the week-long virtual "Shep Fest," an event blending remembrance with action. Whether running or walking, your participation helps complete the memorial freefall statue at the Military Freefall School in Yuma, AZ. This statue stands as a lasting homage to our fallen heroes.

Your steps and contributions during this event will not only honor their bravery but also keep their memories alive. MSG Sheperty, a Marine, Soldier, cherished friend, and passionate freefall enthusiast continues to inspire through his enduring spirit of freedom. "Shep Fest" is more than a run – it celebrates the fearless determination that defined MSG Sheperty.

Share your journey using #MSGNickShepertyFoundation and stand a chance to win a custom prize for the top 3 participants and honor all those who have died in freefall training.. We are sponsoring a cookout at Camp Dawson April 10 recognizing the five year anniversary of Nick's death.  We will be having a silent auction, selling Foundation t-shirts and stickers. 

We plan to place the memorial statue April 17 in Yuma, Arizona  at the Military FreeFall School.
